The Professional Side

Dr. Emily Mejia is excited to welcome patients to Apex Dental Studio. Originally from Peru, she moved to Orlando at a young age. Dr. Mejia is proud to care for both English and Spanish-speaking patients. Her goal is to ensure every patient feels comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for from the moment they walk through the door. Dr. Mejia earned her bachelor’s degree in biology and master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Central Florida before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Detroit Mercy.

Her passion for dentistry stems from her love of both biology and art. She’s dedicated to educating patients on preventative care while helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles in a welcoming environment where they feel comfortable and understood. As part of her comprehensive care, her clinical interests include preventative care, restorative dentistry, extractions, root canal therapy, partial dentures, Invisalign®, and helping patients find relief from dental pain.

Along with the unique combination of science and creativity, Dr. Mejia enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients. She believes exceptional dental care begins with listening. By taking the time to understand each patient’s goals, concerns, and experiences, she creates a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and confident in their treatment decisions.

The Personal Side

Outside of the office, Dr. Mejia enjoys spending time with her three birds (Zoro, Echo, and Daisy), traveling, and gardening. She looks forward to caring for your smile and helping you feel confident every step of the way!
