The Professional Side

Dr. Andy Tran is the founder and dentist at Apex Dental Studio, where he has created a welcoming practice built on exceptional care, meaningful relationships, and a commitment to giving back. From a young age, he dreamed of owning a dental office where he could provide personalized treatment, build a fun and supportive team, and make every patient feel valued. Today, that dream has become a reality.

Originally from San Jose, California, Dr. Tran moved to Falmouth, Massachusetts, as a teenager—a journey that explains why he still has a 408 area code! He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in biology on the neuroscience track. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, one of the nation’s leading dental schools.

After experiencing life on both the West and East Coasts, Dr. Tran chose to put down roots in the suburbs of Austin, Texas, where he is proud to serve the local community. As part of his comprehensive care, Dr. Trans has a special interest in dental implants, full-mouth restorations, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign®, oral sedation, facial esthetics, and comprehensive restorative dentistry.

Kois Center Graduate

Dr. Tran is a graduate of the renowned Kois Center, located in Seattle, Washington. This advanced dental education program focuses on evidence-based techniques, comprehensive treatment planning, and predictable patient outcomes. Dentists who complete Kois training deepen their understanding of complex dental conditions while refining their clinical skills and decision-making.

This advanced education helps Dr. Tran deliver elevated, personalized care through proven approaches, modern techniques, and a thorough understanding of each patient’s unique needs, goals, and long-term oral health, resulting in lasting results.

Surgical Mentor at Colorado Surgical Institute

Dr. Tran has completed training at the Colorado Surgical Institute (CSI). CSI is a hands-on dental training and surgical education center located in Greeley, Colorado. Founded in 2021 by industry leaders including Dr. Taher Dhoon and Dr. Daniel M. Briskie II, the institute focuses on advancing the surgical skills of licensed dentists and general practitioners.

He has returned to CSI as a surgical mentor, mentoring fellow dentists in wisdom tooth removal and dental implant placement during hands-on surgical courses.

The Personal Side

Outside the office, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, photography, and relaxing with a favorite Netflix or Hulu series. He looks forward to welcoming every patient to the Apex Dental Studio family.
